Full Time Optometric Assistant

Wages:  Dependent on experience

Hours/ Week:  Must be available to work Monday through Friday  during our office hours and one Saturday/ month.

Time frame: Hiring for an open position.

Growing state of the art private optometric is looking for a detailed, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to assist our patients with receiving an exceptional eye care experience.

Requirements:

High school graduate and some college required.  Exceptional customer service skills, strong phone skills, knowledge of basic office software, friendly personality, and an ability to learn new skills. Must be a team player, and work with a smile and embrace an office culture dedicated to serving our patients.  Must be detail oriented, dependable, organized,  and someone who strives to exceed expectations. Must have 2 years of work experience as an optician, optometric assistant, sales associate, or customer service-oriented position

We’re looking for a playful personality with a great smile, who likes to have fun but knows how to get to work.

Must have a professional appearance, and 5 star customer service skills. Examples would be customer service training similar to  Disney, Nordstrom’s, or Ritz Carlton.  We want to “Wow” our patients

Professional Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.   Non-smokers only please.

Duties:    We will train the right person!

Make patients feel welcome as if they were guests in your own home

Reception responsibilities

  • Greeting patient
  • Electronic chart preparation
  • Scheduling
  • Insurance verification
  • Recall
  • Claims processing

Clinical responsibilities

  • Prepare patient for optometric examination
  • Use state of the art diagnostic equipment measure visual system
  • Contact lens insertion and training
  • Lensometry

Optical Responsibilities

  • Frame styling
  • Inventory management
  • Adjusting spectacles
  • Spectacle lens sales
