Are Your Eyes Healthy?

You might think that you have great vision and healthy eyes, but did you know that several eye diseases such as glaucoma don’t have symptoms? Cargo Eye Care has the latest, state-of-the-art technology that can detect early signs of eye diseases. This is why scheduling an annual comprehensive eye exam is important. Speaking of eye exams, did you know that according to Eyewire News, 1 in 10 Americans have not had an eye exam in five years. WOW, that’s a lot of people!

What to Expect During Your Exam

If you are part of the 1 in 10 Americans who have not received an eye exam in five years, that’s okay! It is never too late to get your eyes checked. Cargo Eye Care offers eye exams for both adults and children. At your personalized comprehensive eye exam, we will check your eyes for any eye disease, assess how your eyes work together and even evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health. Tests will range from simple, like having you read an eye chart, to complex, such as using a high-powered lens to examine the health of the tissues inside of your eyes.

Vision Screening vs. Comprehensive Eye Exam

A vision screening is a quick test used to identify possible vision issues. Screenings are limited in their scope and might be performed by a school nurse or at a well-child check-up; even at the DMV! A vision screening cannot determine if you are suffering from an eye disorder and is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam.

Make a Statement With Eyeglasses

At your exam with Cargo Eye Care, we may determine that you need glasses. We know that selecting lenses and frames is a personal choice, so we make the process easy! We have lenses that fit every lifestyle.

Now, let’s talk frames. Who says glasses can’t be a bold fashion statement? Not us! And certainly not today, when there are so many frames, styles and materials to choose from. A few of our bestselling premium frames include Tom Ford, Dior, Oakley and Ray-Ban.

If you are unsure about which glasses are right for you, you can take our glasses quiz for guidance.

Contacts Rock, Too!

If glasses aren’t your jam, you’re in luck! Cargo Eye Care offers a variety of contact lenses. Your Cargo Eye Care optometrist can recommend the best contact lenses for you based on your complete eye examination and a review of your visual needs both at work and play. We offer soft lenses, gas-permeable (GP) lenses, multifocal lenses, color contact lenses, silicone hydrogels and daily disposable lenses. We know this list may seem overwhelming but we will guide you through the process and assist you in choosing the best contact lenses for your lifestyle.
